How similar are these 2 haplogroups? I know that most modern day Europeans either have R1, J, E1b1b, and a few other variants but these are the most prominent. It explains where modern Europeans formed and then came into Europe where they are now known as "Europeans".
I was wondering about the relationship between the J2 haplogroup and R1a/b in specific. How similar are they and the people who carry these haplogroups to each-other.
I know that J2 is a Neolithic haplogroup that means Middle Eastern ancestry from farmers who migrated out of Iraq, but the R1 comes from a similar location near the Iranian plateau.

This is somewhat off-topic for the Hamitic Union. Most Hamitic peoples in North Africa and the Horn have haplogroup E paternal lineages; particularly the E1b1b sub-clade. Haplogroup J has a long association with haplogroup E1b1b and the Afro-Asiatic language family, but not haplogroup R.

I apologize. All I know is that J is one of major European haplogroup along with R1 and E1b1b. All are Caucasoid haplogroups anyhow. You can delete this if you wish.
